The Orchard Nursery

The Orchard Nursery is established within The Coombes CE Primary School, surrounded by a beautiful natural environment with fields and woodland on our doorstep. We take full advantage of our enriching setting with a light and airy open plan classroom with open ended resources and activities. Stepping outdoors into our spacious garden that is bursting with nature, with a chance to get a 'hands on' forest school adventure.

Our aim at Orchard Nursery is to enable children to develop a lifelong love of learning. We provide play opportunities and enriching experiences which encourage children to explore and develop their natural curiosity, to take part, to have a positive approach to challenge and to grow concentration skills.

Each day offers an invitation to let their own ideas blossom, to grow problem solving skills, to build resilience and be confident. Providing opportunity to play cooperatively, building relationships with both peers and adults, nurture individuality and support independence for the first big step into their school journey."

Nursery Places

Children can join The Orchard Nursery in the term after they turn three years of age and we offer up to 30 hours a week. 

If you wish to apply for a place in the Nursery, please download the Nursery Admission Form and return to the school office. Visits are warmly welcomed.
